Do Not Be Misled

East Cambs Lib Dems do not support the current proposals for a congestion charge. The proposals are not fair or equitable for East Cambs residents. The GCP needs to listen to the concerns of residents and not implement the current proposals.

The congestion charge proposals don't come from East Cambridgeshire District Council, and district councillors don't get a vote on the plans.

It’s wrong to penalise people who drive when there is no viable public transport alternative. Lib Dems want to see action to address the decades of decline in public transport inflicted by successive Tory councils and Government.

Do not be misled - on 4 May you will be electing the councillors to run East Cambs District Council for the next four years. You won’t be electing councillors with the power to decide on a congestion charge.
