Petition: Fair Public Transport for Aldreth
Aldreth currently has just two scheduled bus services per week and falls outside the area covered by the Tiger On Demand service. While the Ely Zipper runs regularly to nearby Haddenham, it does not extend to Aldreth for most of the week — despite the village being only a short distance away.
This lack of provision leaves many residents at a clear disadvantage, particularly young people, older residents, and anyone without access to a car. Reliable public transport is essential for accessing work, education, healthcare, and community life.
We, the undersigned, call on the Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and the Combined Authority to take urgent action to improve public transport links to Aldreth, ensuring fair and regular access for all residents.
Fair Public Transport for Aldreth
Will you call on the Mayor and Combined Authority to provide fair, regular bus services for Aldreth so all residents can access work, education, healthcare and community life?
